According to the Japan Electronic Information Technology Association's data show, as of July 2017, Japan's electronics industry's output is down about 2/3. We think that there are mainly the following reasons: the first is external factors, the financial crisis has made Japan's electronics industry no longer beautiful, rapid dropping in overseas market demand. The rapid rise of international rivals has squeezed the growth space of Japan's electronics industry. Korea Samsung, LG and other enterprises through the Government's policy support, technology and the introduction of talent gradually gain technological advantages, China mainland and Taiwan electronic enterprises due to the cost, geography and policy advantages continue to grow and develop, Japan's electronics industry is embattled. Secondly, the internal factors, the Japanese enterprises focus on achieving the ultimate in the subdivision area, but in terms of providing integrated solutions, has weak ability to respond to customer needs and market changes, lack of elasticity in the industrial chain.

 

With the decline of Japanese electronics industry manufacturing Scale, PCB as its basic components, also showed a downward trend, although Japan in terms of high-end HDI, flexible board and Substrate-Like PCB still occupy the technical advantages, but the overall share is shrinking gradually. As of January 2018, the production of printed circuit board (PCB, Rigid board + FPC+ module substrate) in Japan fell 3.7% compared with the same month last year, of which the output of PCB (Rigid) was 0.8% lower than that of last year，flexible PCB production was greatly reduced by 13.6%, the yield fell 3.1%. Although the Japanese enterprises in the technology have an absolute leading edge, but the Japanese PCB manufacturers profit margin has been hovering on low. In addition to the car board, the Japanese enterprises gradually exit the rigid pcb field, the traditional advantages of FPC and IC board also gradually decline.
